Policy 3: How the information is used Any information that is submitted to us is used for the intend purpose of the submission. For example, we will only use your email address to reply to any questions you may have. Your email address is subsequently discard upon the closure of this inquiry to us. If you have subscribed to our email list, you will receive weekly updates on the latest job postings on the CanMed web site. Upon receipt, a trained consultant will review your resume. She/he may follow up with you by phone or email in regards to current positions that are available. Your resume is stored in our database for future reference. At no time is your resume sent to any third party without your consent. From time to time, we may display advertisements. To comply with various national pharmaceutical and healthcare advertising laws and regulations, your IP address is used to ensure that you do not receive a banner that might be illegal for you to view. At no time does the advertiser have access to this personal information. All information may be complied into an aggregated form for the purposes of promoting and administrating our web site. We may share this aggregated data with advertisers or business partners. Policy 4: With whom information is shared As a rule, CanMed does not share, sell, transfer or exchange any personal information with any third party except when we have your permission or under direction from law enforcement official. This includes sending of your resume to a third party (i.e.. pharmaceutical company) for open positions that you qualify for. We may compile information gathered from online sources (see policy 1) into aggregated form for the purposes of promoting and administrating our web site. Policy 5: Security measures This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Access to computer data and files at CanMed are secured by password coding and router access lists. All resumes are stored in a database that is not accessible via the Internet. This ensures the integrity and security of the information. Policy 6: Correcting, updating and removing information To remove yourself from getting weekly updates, simply send a blank email to info@canmed.com, with "cancel" in the subject area. To ensure the security of your posting and information on the CanMed web site, there is no online mechanism in place to remove your site from our directory. You may remove your site and your information from the site at anytime by contacting us at employer@canmed.com.
